Business Background

Business Perspective

Operator background (2010–2022).

Before specialising in B2B search and visibility, I built and operated a structured business combining retail, design services and in-house production.

Twelve years of full P&L responsibility: revenue, delivery, margins, client relationships, shaped how I evaluate marketing today: visibility is read against commercial reality, not against channel dashboards.

Why this background matters

Running a business changes how marketing performance is read. Search positioning, demand signals and paid activity are not evaluated against traffic but against revenue, margin and the cost of acquiring the right buyer. The same operational lens is applied to every engagement: structural changes are recommended only if they affect commercial outcomes.

I documented this approach in a short book available for free download in the Library → The book explains how search, paid and AI systems interpret B2B companies and why structural misalignment leads to unstable results.

Where my work is relevant

I'm the right fit for B2B companies in industrial equipment, engineering services, specialised technical platforms and complex international B2B markets.

In these environments, search demand is limited but commercial, sales cycles are long, and a small number of qualified leads matters more than traffic volume.

Alignment between search demand, positioning and commercial structure is the prerequisite for stable performance.
